MI Women’s Group Meeting – Stamford, April 2025
What a fantastic two days in Stamford, Connecticut.
Generously hosted by Carmody Torrance Sandak & Hennessey LLP, the Mackrell International Women’s Group Meeting brought together legal minds from across the world for a vibrant, purposeful and inspiring in-person event.
We began with a relaxed welcome reception and dinner, setting the tone for an open and engaging day of discussion.
The agenda started with networking and a creative exchange of client development ideas, before diving into a lively roundtable on The Future of Affinity Groups. What do women’s groups need to offer in 2025? The conversation was full of insight and forward-thinking.
After lunch, we turned to Meaningful Mentoring, exploring how mentorship can be truly valuable for both mentor and mentee, and how it supports growth and confidence at every level.
In the afternoon, guest speaker Elena Rand led a thought-provoking session on Maintaining your identity outside of being a lawyer. She shared powerful ideas on why nurturing your personal self isn’t just good for you, it’s good for business. The session sparked honest reflections and great conversation.
As always, it wasn’t just about the topics - it was about the energy, openness and connection in the room.
We’re already looking ahead to more in-person gatherings, including the next Women’s Group Meeting in Prague this May. To everyone who joined us - thank you. And to those yet to connect, we’re excited to welcome new faces and share more rewarding times ahead.
