Zanzibar
In order to obtain a residence permit class C, also known as a Golden Visa in Zanzibar, the following conditions must be satisfied: -
An investor who purchases real estate in Zanzibar with a value of USD 100,000 and above can obtain a residence permit for two years, which is Golden Visa.
It covers the investor, their spouse and up to four children under 18 years of age when reselling your property.
The investor will receive a residence permit Class C for a fee of USD 200 to 500 for non-citizen of East African Community and USD 100 to 250 for East African Community and diasporas.
The Golden Visa offers more than just residency. It comes with significant tax advantages, including a 50% reduction in capital gain tax
Tanzanian Mainland
Residence Permit class A.
This permit is specifically for persons who intend to enter or remain in Tanzania and engage in self-employed investment.
Residence Permit Class A is divided into four different classes, specifically, Resident Permit Class A1 for Professional Artist Investor, A2 for Diaspora Investors, A3 for other industry investors and A4 for Refugee Investors
In order to obtain residence permit class A for Tanzania Mainland, the following conditions should be met:
An investor is required to maintain a minimum capital investment of USD 500,000, as stipulated under the framework of the Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zones.
An investor shall be issued with a Class A-1 Residence Permit upon payment of a fee of USD 1,000 for non-citizens of the East African Community, and USD 500 for citizens of the East African Community.
Investors under Class A-2 Residence Permits, whether non-citizens or citizens of the East African Community, are exempt from payment of permit fees.
An investor applying for a Class A-3 Residence Permit shall pay a fee of USD 3,000 for non-citizens of the East African Community, and USD 1,500 for citizens of the East African Community.
An investor under a Class A-4 Residence Permit, whether a non-citizen or a citizen of the East African Community, shall pay a fee of USD 1,500.
Investors may acquire land in Tanzania provided that they hold both a Class A Residence Permit and a Certificate of Incentives issued by the Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zones.
