Golden Visa
Since the Hong Kong Government has implemented an array of talent attraction measures in 2022, more than 280,000 worldwide talented migrants have been attracted to pursue development in Hong Kong under various talent streams.
You can apply to bring your spouse and unmarried dependent children under 18 to Hong Kong as your dependants.
1) Top Talent Pass Scheme
The Top Talent Pass Scheme (TTPS) is one of the most straightforward and attractive routes for talented individuals to relocate to Hong Kong.
It targets high-calibre professionals with strong work experience and excellent academic qualifications from around the world.
Category A includes high-income talents whilst category B includes recent graduates from the world’s top universities* and without the need for Hong Kong sponsored employment or prior job offer.
The TTPS does not apply to nationals of Afghanistan, Cuba, Laos, Korea (Democratic People's Republic of), Nepal and Vietnam.

** Virtual, part time or distant learning bachelor degrees and master’s degrees from the list are not qualified for TTPS.
Over 120,000 applications have been approved in the past three years, with roughly 40 % of applicants under Categories B and C.
Extension of stay
The Applicant is required to provide the immigration department with concrete supporting information and documents, including employment contracts, proof and accounts of their business operation or tax demand notes, thereby proving either that they have taken up employment in Hong Kong with a stable income, or they have established or joined a business in Hong Kong. The immigration department will follow the established mechanism in examining whether an applicant meets the relevant eligibility criteria for extension of stay.
2) New Capital investment Entrant scheme (CIES)
This is High Net-Worth individual’s easiest route to attaining Hong Kong residency.
Jointly-owned assets with family member(s) can also be taken into account.
Requirements
Net assets to invest of at least HKD 30 million (USD 3.83 mil) throughout the six months preceding application date.
Applicant must invest HKD 30 million in Hong Kong, with HKD 3 million delegated for the Government’s CIES portfolio (a collection of opportunities).
Investment is maintained for a minimum of seven years to retain immigration status.
HK$30 million investment will be allocated as follows: HK$27 million in permissible assets such as equities, bonds, collective investment schemes, and real estate in Hong Kong, and a required HK$3 million into the Government’s CIES Investment Portfolio, which focuses on innovation and technology sectors.

Extension of Stay
The Applicant and his/her dependants must have ordinarily resided in Hong Kong for a continuous period of not less than seven years before applying for the right of abode in Hong Kong in accordance with the law.
