Formal requirements:
The Argentina Investment Visa is established by Law. 25.871, and decrees 616/2010 and 70/2017.
Foreign nationals can be granted an investor visa with a minimum investment of ARS 1,500,000 (approximately ~USD 1100 at the official exchange).
There are no restrictions on the sector, type, or scale of the business (productive, commercial, or service activity), providing flexibility for investors. in any lawful business engaged in a within Argentina
The investment capital has to be deposit in a financial institution recognized by Argentina's Central Bank.
The Ministry of Economy (https://www.economia.gob.ar/en/ ) assesses the feasibility, legal aspects, and economic-financial sustainability of the investment project.
The National Directorate of Migration is in charge of granting of temporary residence and sets a definite deadline for the realization of the investment.
Initially the visa is valid for one year, with the option for renewal up to 3 years.
After two years of residence and the maintenance of the investment, Investment Visa holders become eligible for citizenship
At the third year it is possible to apply for permanent residency status, if citizenship has not already obtained.
