Formal requirements:

  • The Argentina Investment Visa is established by Law. 25.871, and  decrees 616/2010 and 70/2017.

  • Foreign nationals can be granted an investor visa with a minimum investment of ARS 1,500,000 (approximately ~USD 1100 at the official exchange).

  • There are no restrictions on the sector, type, or scale of the business (productive, commercial, or service activity), providing flexibility for investors. in any lawful business engaged in a within Argentina

  • The investment capital has to be deposit in a financial institution recognized by Argentina's Central Bank.

  • The Ministry of Economy (https://www.economia.gob.ar/en/ ) assesses the feasibility, legal aspects, and economic-financial sustainability of the investment project.

  • The National Directorate of Migration is in charge of granting of temporary residence and sets a definite deadline for the realization of the investment.

  • Initially the visa is valid for one year, with the option for renewal up to 3 years.

  • After two years of residence and the maintenance of the investment, Investment Visa holders become eligible for citizenship

  • At the third year it is possible to apply for permanent residency status, if citizenship has not already obtained.
