We’re delighted to welcome Steve Tennant for an engaging and practical session sharing real-world insights on how to get the best value from expert witnesses. From selection and briefing to maximising their impact in dispute resolution, Steve will cover strategies to help you work effectively with your expert, manage costs and improve outcomes—Whether you're in construction law, commercial disputes, or both, learn how to maximise impact and minimise costs.

Based in Hong Kong, Steve brings a wealth of experience as an expert witness in arbitration, litigation, and mediation worldwide. He is also an adjudicator, and mediator.

A Chartered Quantity Surveyor, Chartered Civil Engineering Surveyor and Chartered Building Professional, Steve’s 45+ year career includes 25 years with international contractors across Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, delivering major infrastructure projects including tunnels, railways, ports, power stations, and resorts. He later transitioned to consultancy, providing commercial and project management services, including dispute resolution on contracts ranging from USD$10,000 to USD$1 billion.

Steve describes himself as someone who doesn’t take himself too seriously—but is very serious about his work. It’s a recipe for an informative, engaging presentation with plenty of practical takeaways. Stick around for an open Q&A session following the presentation.
