Please join our Insurance PG Call on Wednesday 18th November at 4.00 pm UK GMT to catch up with the Insurance PG members around the globe.
The Insurance PG has not had a call for a while, and new Chair Patricio Prieto https://www.prieto.cl/en/patricio-prieto-l-2/ (Head of Capital Markets and Insurance and Re-insurance practices at MI Member firm Prieto, Chile) thought it would be great just have a check-in to introduce himself, reconnect and meet everyone with a quick 4 minute max intro on themselves, their experience, their team. This will let us all know who-is-who from across the globe who deal with insurance law matters.
There’s plenty to talk about in the insurance space with escalating tensions in the Middle East and increasing geopolitical instability, businesses worldwide face significant insurance and commercial risks. From disrupted supply chains and marine losses to business interruption, political violence and coverage disputes, the implications extend far beyond conflict zones.
Patricio will lead a general exchange between members on emerging insurance challenges across jurisdictions, how insurers and policyholders are responding, and where clients may need coordinated international advice. These issues run across jurisdictions, so we look forward to seeing a global range of members on the call to share trends and experience, client concerns in their jurisdiction. What are members seeing? When are clients requiring advice across jurisdictions?, and where can members collaborate?
We would also like to have an open forum at the end for anyone to bring up topics or issues they would like to discuss, and finally to suggest topics for further meetings, which we hope to have with more consistency and frequency going forward.
