Family Law Practice Group Call – Jurisdiction Challenges and Competing Claims

Please join Chair Alison Green (Consultant, MI Member firm Mackrell LLP, London), and Geeta Patel (Senior Associate Mackrell LLP, London) for a Family Law  Practice Group Call on Wednesday December 3^rd at 2pm GMT. 

In what promises to be a call of interest to members worldwide, Geeta will be leading the discussion following a short presentation on the complex and evolving topic of divorce and jurisdictional challenges.

This subject sits at the very heart of modern family law practice. In an increasingly globalised world, where families live, work, and build their lives across multiple countries, questions of jurisdiction—which court has the authority to hear a divorce or resolve related disputes—have become some of the most intricate and consequential issues confronting practitioners today. 

This call will see members share their experiences and explore these cross-border challenges and the practical considerations they raise for lawyers and clients alike.

As usual, at the end, we would also like to have a short open forum for anyone to bring up topics, make new introductions, or mention issues they would like to discuss, and to suggest topics for future meetings.
