    Video Summary

Given the increasing overlap between M&A, restructuring, and insolvency — particularly in distressed scenarios — this topic is a conversation well worth continuing within our Bankruptcy & Insolvency Practice Group.

The session by Sibinčič Novak Partners demonstrated how a law firm’s own precedents, tone, and workflows can be utilised by a private AI drafting engine, producing transaction documents that read as if written by that firm’s senior lawyers — not a generic AI model. While the initial focus is on M&A work in civil law jurisdictions, the underlying approach has clear implications for insolvency-related documentation, restructuring transactions, distressed M&A, and cross-border matters more broadly.

The call: (1) Introduces Sibinčič Novak Partners who will join the call to demonstrate their solution in a short 30 minute presentation; (2) Invites questions from member participants and explores how similar technology could support insolvency and restructuring world; and (3) discusses practical use cases, risks, and opportunities for our firms

    Video Summary

The second call of the day focused on similar content to the earlier call and the presentation of a new AI-powered contract drafting tool specifically designed for M&A transactions in civil law jurisdictions, developed by MI firm Sibinčič Novak & Partners. Jan and Matic demonstrated the tool's capabilities, highlighting its ability to generate customized legal documents using firm-specific templates while maintaining data privacy through either cloud-based or on-premise deployment options. The tool aims to streamline the drafting process by analyzing existing contracts to produce new documents that reflect the firm's unique drafting style and legal requirements. The development team sought seeking 5 beta testers from different jurisdictions in the MI network to gather feedback and further refine the tool, which will eventually expand to include additional document types and legal database integration.
