Michael P. Spanos is an associate in Rosenberg Martin Greenberg’s Litigation and Real Estate groups, with a focus on landlord/tenant matters. His practice includes every phase of the litigation process, from pleadings and motions through discovery and trial. Mike also represents landlords and tenants in eviction proceedings, administrative actions, and general licensing and reporting requirements.

Mike grew up in New London, CT, before receiving his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Clark University in Worcester, MA. While at Clark University, he was captain of the men’s soccer team, captain of the university’s mock trial team, and chair of the Student Sustainability Fund.

He attended the University of Maryland Law School, where he represented community organizations and interest groups for the law school’s Environmental Law Clinic as a student attorney. Mike was also an associate editor for the Maryland Law Review and served two years as the treasurer of the Maryland Environmental Law Society. During law school, Mike clerked for the American Atheists Legal Center, the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, and the Department of Justice’s Environment and Natural Resources Division.

Following law school, Mike served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Robin D. Gill Bright on the Circuit Court for Prince George’s County, Maryland. Before joining the firm, Mike was an associate at a mid-sized Baltimore law firm, focusing his practice on insurance defense, landlord/tenant matters, and various aspects of church law and property law.

Mike is an avid soccer fan and is fluent in Greek. He lives with his fiancé and two cats in Fells Point.
