Łukasz Wieczorek

Łukasz is a seasoned technology lawyer. He specializes in the law of new technologies (IT), intellectual property law, unfair competition law, business law, and immigration law. Recently, Łukasz has been actively engaged in legal advisory concerning Artificial Intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity matters. In his everyday practice he advises foreign clients that invest in Poland and entities operating a business outside of Poland. At the Law Firm, he heads the TMT (Telecommunication/Media/Technology) department and International Desk with respect to the above legal areas. TMT team has been ranked in Chambers and Partners, The Legal 500 EMEA and national (Polish) legal rankings for couple of years. Łukasz has been also awarded with ‘Up and Coming’ distinction in Chambers and Partners TMT Poland 2025 legal ranking. Experience in selected specializations Łukasz has extensive experience in matters related to the IT sector. He took part in dozens of projects, drafting and negotiating IT agreements (including with respect to agile methodologies and the SaaS model) with business partners from the USA, Europe, and Asia that operate, inter alia, in the banking, finance, insurance, gambling, hotel, FMCG and music sectors. He was involved in the works on a contract between a Law Firm’s client and Citibank that concerned the implementation of the client’s application in 16 countries in Europe and Asia-Pacific (for which the Law Firm received the Outstanding Legal Skill in Handling a Transaction award from the Rzeczpospolita daily in 2018). He also successfully negotiated an IT agreement between a Law Firm’s client and a Silicon Valley unicorn. Professional qualifications and licenses Łukasz is an Attorney-at-Law and has been a member of the Kraków Bar Association of Attorneys-at-Law since 2014. He graduated in law from and completed doctoral studies at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University. He is preparing a doctoral thesis at the Department of Business and Trade Law of the said Faculty. His master’s degree thesis won second prize in the contest for the best thesis in the area of trade law in the 2009/2010 academic year that was organized by the Wolters Kluwer Polska publishing house and the editorial team of the ‘Przegląd Prawa Handlowego’ monthly. Publications Łukasz has published a number of articles in legal press (Przegląd Prawa Handlowego, Rejent), daily press (Rzeczpospolita, Dziennik Gazeta Prawna, prawo.pl, CyberDefence24.pl), and specialist press (Chambers Global Guides, Industrial Monitor, CEE Legal Matters).
