Michał specializes in personal data protection, new technologies law, intellectual property law, and administrative procedure. He provides advisory to both large international groups operating in Poland and abroad and start-ups implementing innovative ideas.

At the Law Firm, he coordinates the work of a team that specializes in personal data protection and compliance.

Experience

He has more than 12 years of experience, which he acquired both at the Law Firm and as an in-house lawyer in global corporations and a company listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. During that time, he had an opportunity to participate in projects related to adjusting entire organizations to the relevant legal regulations, supporting them in developing and implementing solutions guaranteeing compliance of business processes with legal requirements.

In this respect, he has:

provided support in terms of compliance with the GDPR to such entities as a leading open-ended pension fund, one of the largest bookmaking companies, and a group of IT companies headed by a company listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange and supplying its services to entities all over the world participated in designing and implementing processes for handling personal data breaches and data transfers in the entire EMEA region for a world’s leading investment bank participated in drafting and negotiating IT contracts for the delivery of IT systems and services to entities operating on highly regulated markets, including in the financial and insurance sectors drafted legal opinions on topics covering new technologies, data protection and international trading Michał is an attorney-at-law and has been a member of the Kraków Bar Association of Attorneys-at-Law since 2013. He graduated in law from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University and completed the American Law School program offered by the Columbus School of Law—the Catholic University of America in Washington.

He has published articles in daily press (Rzeczpospolita, Dziennik Gazeta Prawna) and specialist press (Chambers Global Guides). He often shares his knowledge with students, start-ups, and entrepreneurs during conferences and training seminars.
