Peter Moldave gives you license for your “secret weapon.” As a partner at Gesmer Updegrove, Peter’s practice focuses on the areas of computer software licensing transactions and corporate and securities law. His computer skills and expertise were honed while working for Apple Computer, Inc. handling federal securities law compliance and legal aspects of corporate finance transactions and technology joint ventures.

He advises a wide variety of clients in the software industry, including emerging software companies in the internet and enterprise software area, investors in software companies, and individual executives, authors and consultants, on issues including business formation, angel and venture capital financing, mergers and acquisitions, equity-based compensation, and software development, distribution, publishing and licensing arrangements.

Since Spring 2002, Peter has been an adjunct faculty member at Suffolk University Law School, where he teaches a course on licensing intellectual property.

Peter is currently addicted to strong coffee and Chuckles. At home Peter likes reading books and viewing documentaries concerning history of the first half of the 20th century, but often finds himself involved in involuntary home-improvement projects. He is considering starting a museum of old cell phones, pagers and similar devices using his own castoffs as the first installation.
