Lisa Lamers

LLB, BCom (Accounting) – Victoria University of Wellington

Born and raised in Christchurch, Lisa relocated to Wellington to study a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) at Victoria University of Wellington. After graduating in May 2018, she was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor in December 2018.

Before joining Clendons, Lisa was a Senior Associate at PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers) Auckland in the Financial Assurance team, where she audited a range of overseas and NZX listed companies, as well as smaller businesses in the retail, manufacturing and financial industries. This provided Lisa with a unique opportunity to develop extensive commercial acumen.

Whilst at PwC, Lisa completed her Chartered Accountants’ qualification with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

Lisa was inspired to join the legal profession after she began volunteering at the Auckland Community Law Centre, where she enjoyed providing practical advice to people with difficult legal issues. She also relishes the intellectual challenge of applying the law in a broad range of commercial contexts and scenarios. Lisa has an interest in a variety of legal areas including mergers and acquisitions, company and contract law, intellectual property and employment law.
