MI and MGI Next Generation Professionals Meeting

Building a network and having strong networking skills to engage with that network are fundamental for every attorney’s career path.  For ‘Next Gen’ professionals and future firm leaders, networking skills will help build your long-term business relationships, grow referral networks and client bases and further your career. 

This event in Las Vegas at the Wynn will focus on both building networks and developing your skills.  It will give you the opportunity of getting to know both fellow Mackrell International attorneys and also CPAs from the MGI Worldwide accountancy network.  We hope the meeting will be a catalyst for increased engagement and collaboration among the next generation of members within MGI and MI.

Wednesday, June 7

7:30 AM - 9:00 AM: Breakfast

  • Welcoming Remarks and Introductions: MGI and MI Officers and brief comments.

  • Overview, Goals and Objectives: Keith Heddle (KH) and Nancy Damato (ND) to provide an overview of the goals, objectives, and purpose of the event, and future intentions for this group.

  • Attendee Introductions: “Make it memorable” - 120 second self-introductions - speed networking session. Table summaries, hosted by KH & ND.

  • Teambuilding Session: “Getting to know session” - 2 Truths and 1 Lie. Session summaries, moderated by KH & ND.

1:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Lunch

  • Networking & Connecting tips: Session moderated by KH and ND on networking virtually and in-person and how to engage and be relevant. The benefits of being part of a network like MGI and MI and how to make the most of it.

  • Specialist Breakout Sessions: Focused discussions and interactions on common services, Bankruptcy & Insolvency, M&A/Corporate, Real Estate, Litigation Support, Generating Business & Client Service, etc. Aim to generate leads and opportunities. Summary presentations to all (moderated).

  • Momentum-building: Strategies and ideas to maintain the momentum and actively network after the conference. What 1 thing will you commit to (& time scale)?

4:30 PM - 5:00 PM: Take-aways - ‘Round robin’ with attendees to share take-aways and brief Q&A.

  • This concludes the conference.
