Bergman & Dacey Expands Transactional Practice Group

Bergman & Dacey is proud to announce that our transactional practice group has added two exceptionally experienced attorneys to expand the breadth of the matters serviced, and to continue to provide quality and cost-effective transaction and non-litigation counseling to our clients.

Nicholas Browning III and Robert D. Bergman have over 60 years of combined experience in legal transactions. They have represented Fortune 500 companies and other regional, national, and international clients, as well as high net worth individuals.

Mr. Browning’s extensive experience includes providing legal advice and representation to a broad range of clients in the negotiation, drafting, implementation, and enforcement of contracts, and counseling relating to:


- Real Estate, Land Use, and Construction Matters – including the representation of developers, investors, and major landowners in the acquisition, development, construction, and management of their properties
- Intellectual Property Matters – helping companies protect their intellectual property rights and exploit their commercial potential, including software, media and technology licensing, trademark matters and other sophisticated technology transactions
- Antitrust Matters – including pricing practices, product distribution, joint ventures and sales channel conflicts


Mr. Bergman’s specialties include providing corporate and other entities, their founding shareholders, and other high net worth individuals, with legal advice and representation relating to:

- Corporate Law Matters – including the formation, capitalization, and governance of corporations, limited liability companies and partnerships; agreements among owners; and mergers, acquisitions and other liquidity events
- Real Estate – including representing clients in the acquisition or disposition of real property, representing both landlords and tenants in leasing commercial real estate and advising clients on 1031 like-kind exchanges.
- Tax, Employee Benefits, and Estate Planning and Probate Matters - including complex tax matters and related finance issues.
