Shughart Thomson & Kilroy is Expanding their Constrction Team
PHOENIX, Ariz. (May 12, 2008). Marty Harper, managing partner of Shughart Thomson & Kilroy, P.C. in Phoenix, announced the addition of Cynthia R. Estrella, Of Counsel, to continue to build the Phoenix office construction law practice. The firm is well-known and respected nationally for its skills in construction law. The addition of Estrella enhances its construction law practice in the Valley.
According to Harper, “Cynthia’s skills are unrivaled because she has the practical experience as a mechanical engineer and the legal expertise of a well-seasoned attorney. She is engaging and deeply connected to her clients and her work.”
Earlier this year, the Phoenix office welcomed Rob Dyer and Wayne Ducharme to lead the construction law team. With the addition of Estrella, the Phoenix office construction law group will have six attorneys with decades of combined legal experience. Estrella has concentrated her practice in construction and surety law for more than 12 years. Prior to her legal career, she worked as a mechanical engineer for a large national aerospace contractor. Her understanding and experience both in engineering and the law enables her to serve skillfully as a liaison between her fellow attorneys and the firm’s contractor, architect and engineer clients, and consultants. She will continue to represent contractors, architects and engineers in state and federal court.
“Joining Shughart Thomson & Kilroy connects me with well-respected professionals who share my passions and are active community and civic leaders, and provides me the opportunity to work with smart, hard-working individuals,” said Estrella. “Our construction law group is nationally known for its dedicated lawyers engaged in a sophisticated practice. I am honored to be a part of such a well-regarded and intelligent group of people.”
In 1990, Estrella received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She completed her juris doctorate at the University of Iowa in 1996.
