Shughart Thomson & Kilroy's National Construction Practice is Expanding
We’ve Added A New Crew To Our Construction Team
Firm hires two attorneys with more than 65 years of combined construction experience.
Kansas City, MO-Shughart Thomson & Kilroy, P.C. announces the expansion of its national focused construction practice by adding two new attorneys to the Firm. Attorneys Rob Dyer and Wayne Ducharme join the Firm at the Phoenix location. The expansion of the construction practice in Phoenix means Shughart Thomson & Kilroy has a greater depth of construction industry attorneys in all markets served by the Firm. This addition provides benefits to the entire firm and has been part of a long-range strategy.
“Similar to the business connections that were underlying the need for a strong construction group in Denver, there are significant business connections among Kansas City, Denver and Phoenix,” said Roy Bash, Chair of the Construction Practice. “A number of our clients have expanded their business in each of these markets and the addition of Rob and Wayne will give us a stronger presence in the Phoenix area.”
Dyer had his own small law firm, Dyer & Butler, LLP before joining the Firm in January. Dyer earned his B.A., at the University of California at Berkeley and Stanford University, and his J.D., from the University of Utah. Dyer was editor of the Arizona Construction Law Practice Manual, State Bar of Arizona, 2003.
“I welcome the support of a pre-eminent law firm with national reach such as Shughart Thomson & Kilroy, support I didn’t have with my own firm,” said Dyer.
Dyer brings construction attorney Wayne Ducharme, from the Dyer & Butler firm. Ducharme has over 35 years of experience in the construction industry, 15 years hands-on in construction engineering, preparing plans and specifications and construction management. The past 20 years, Ducharme has practiced in all phases of construction law. Ducharme earned his B.B.A., Accounting from California State University and his J.D., from Hastings College of Law. He is also a Certified Public Accountant and has an Architectural Certificate from the Manitoba Institute of Technology.
