New Podcast: Incentive Based Compensation for Commercial Trial Lawyers
30 May 2007
(Length 8:55) For many years, in-house corporate counsel hired lawyers based on their or their firm's reputation, without significant concern for the cost. But in these times of cost-consciousness, even the general counsel's office feels the heat. No longer can the motto "win at all cost" drive the decision-making process. Instead, corporate counsel now turn more and more to incentive-based compensation for commercial trial lawyers, knowing that winning remains the primary focus, but incentives to win at a lower cost provide benefits to both corporation and counsel.
