Natalie Payne is a solicitor in our Private Client Department, focusing on inheritance planning, Wills and Probates and Powers of Attorney, having completed more than seven years at another London firm.
Natalie is an active member of a number of organisations and is a Law Gazette Panellist, Honorary Legal Advisor to the Citizens Advice Bureau, and an Associate member of Solicitors for the Elderly.
She is a panel member of the Law Gazette and is a member of The Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn (called to The Bar of England and Wales in 2007).
Natalie has acted in numerous high net worth estate administrations, which have included aspects such as alleged Nazi looted art, misappropriated assets domestic and abroad, large property portfolios, warring family members and friends, agricultural and business property relief, asset/beneficiary tracing and negotiations with HM Revenue and Customs about asset values.
She has also acted for many trustees in the administration of all types of trusts providing advice as to tax and day to day management. This includes advice as to personal injury trusts.
She has negotiated with HM Revenue and Customs to reduce penalties for failing to file income tax returns most notably for two decades for one client and assisted many other clients in saving them large inheritance tax liabilities through careful inheritance tax planning during their lifetime and on death.
