FAQ's
Q: How does it work?
A: A client's first contact with MACKRELL INTERNATIONAL will be through the partner of the firm normally dealing with their affairs. The partner will identify the location and service needed and ensure referral to the lawyer with the appropriate expertise. Although each member firm is independent and solely responsible for its own work, member firms work very closely together to satisfy a client's requirements. Any MACKRELL INTERNATIONAL member will, however, be pleased to deal with an enquiry about the workings of the network from somebody who has not previously dealt with a member firm.
Q: If I am interested and want to contact MI?
A: The easiest way is to send an email to secretariat@mackrell.net or to phone +44 1483 755609 and ask for the Mackrell International secretariat.
Q: How do international meetings function?
A: We expect all members to attend the world Annual General Meeting as well as a regional meeting. AGMs are held in a different city each year, usually in May, in alternating geographical regions and hosted by the local member. There are three regions: EMA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), Asia Pacific and the Americas; each region holds a meeting annually in the latter quarter - most usually October or November.
Q: Are we allowed to belong to other similar organisations?
A: It is preferred that each firm has a specific dedication to MI or, as a minimum, that key partners have a profound and long lasting commitment.
