About us

Founded in 1987, MACKRELL INTERNATIONAL took its name from John Mackrell, a London lawyer who started a practice in Lincoln's Inn in 1845. He was renowned for his common sense commercial approach to legal matters and founded a scholarship for practical legal excellence. His philosophy is shared by all member firms of MACKRELL INTERNATIONAL as they adapt to changes in the world of commerce and finance.

This pragmatic attitude is shared by the firms which join MI inasmuch as they identify closely with the business communities to which they belong and where they invite respect from their peers. It means that firms of varying sizes - although always medium-sized firms in their respective markets - join MI because they wish to remain close to their clients while at the same time offering them the expertise and knowledge obtained by professionals in other jurisdictions. It is this commitment on the part of individual lawyers which has become a hallmark for MACKRELL INTERNATIONAL.
